CELEBRATION PARTY

To all SBKRS Senior Cadets :
We will be having a celebration party for winning the 2009 Sports Day Marching Champion. The details of the celebration :

• Venue : S.Sgt. Ho Wing Lok House
• Date : 18th April 2009
• Time : 6pm
• Payment : RM 10 per person
• Attendance : Seniors only
• Dress Code : Casual

Please pay the money to Treasurer ( Wing Lok / Yap Su En ) before 15th April 2009.
There will be some games as well.

JPP GATHERING 2009

Please be informed that KRS of SMK Jalan Pasir Puteh (JPP), Ipoh, Perak will be having a Inter-School KRS Gathering on 13 June 2009. Since we live in KL, we need to depart 1 day earlier and back home 1 day later. Which means for SBKRS, we will spend 3 days 2 nights on 12th (Fri), 13th (Sat), 14th (Sun) of June 2009. Trips on some tourism spot may be included on the last day. We will stay in the school of SMK JPP for 2 nights.

We are yet to receive Official Invitation from them but we are given some basic information about the gathering :

• Date : 12 - 14 June 2009 (3 Days 2 Nights)
• Location : SMK Jalan Pasir Puteh, Ipoh, Perak
• Accomodation : SMK JPP school
• Transport : Chartered School Bus (with Air - Condition)

The whole trip will be incharged by S.Sgt Ho Wing Lok and Sgt. Desmond Tan.
As Usual, there will be competitions in the Gathering. We will comfirm the competitions title later as well as the Gathering's Theme.

SBKRS MEMBER WHO ARE INTERESTED PLEASE REGISTER YOUR NAME TO S.SGT HO WING LOK OR SGT. DESMOND TAN. PLACES ARE LIMITED, ON FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.

CADET SERVICE SYSTEM (CSS)

We are currently in the process of setting up the Awarding System for Cadet Service Star which is awarded to any Sbkrs member who participated in many services/duties. The initial decisions on the Service Hours are :

• Blue Star = 100 Hours
• Red Star = 200 Hours
• Purple Star = 350 Hours
• Silver Star = Honourable

We will implement the system soon, all service hours from Jan 1st, 2009 will be taken into acccount. We will start the system from testing phrase. The informations above are subjected to change depending to the final decision on the Service Hours.

CADET MERIT SYSTEM (CMS)

We are currently updating the merit points of all Sbkrs member, we will take into account these following activities/duties :

• 2009 Sports Day Marching 08/02/09 = including simpanan and Auxiliary Unit member. Extra Points will be rewarded for all marching participants for winning the Competition.
• Public duty on 18/02/2009
• Visiting Trip to KRS SMJK Pei Yuan, Kampar, Perak.
• School Duty from Cikgu Kamarul on 21/03/2009
• SB CNY Festival Duty 22/01/2009

VISIT TO PEI YUAN KRS

On 13 March 2009, 8 Sbkrs member and 1 Tsmkrs members visited KRS of SMJK Pei Yuan in Kampar, Perak.

Those ppl are :

S.Sgt Ho Wing Lok (OC), S.Sgt Tan Kai Leng, Sgt Desmond Tan, Sgt Jun Shen, Cpl Kan Chan Wai, Cpl Christine (SU), L.Cpl Mei Ting (QM) and Pvt. Shi Rui. (SC)

They departed from Puduraya Bus Terminal at about 4.15pm in a 3 hours journey to Kampar.

They stayed in a hotel in Kampar, had a nice chatting night with Pei Yuan KRS seniors.

The next day 14 March 2009, they arrived in SMJK Pei Yuan. The 9 members group joined their games which mostly are water games. After the games, they were invited for Pei Yuan KRS celebration party for getting 2nd Runner up in Sports day marching.

At the same day, They left the school at around 4pm and head to the bus terminal. They arrived KL safely around 830pm.
This visiting trip has strengthen the ties between SBKRS n KRS Pei Yuan.

Thanks for the great hospitality from KRS SMJK Pei Yuan. Hope we can meet again in the future.
